Before you vote

In a week where the Wyoming political landscape is rife with underhanded tactics, the same individuals who regularly bemoan the lack of civility are showing just how hollow their claims really are.

  1. Legislator Suggests Disenfranchising Opponent: A legislator recently suggested that his legally registered opponent should not be allowed to vote, effectively disenfranchising him and potentially others who registered after the party-switching deadline, threatening the integrity of the election.
  2. Governor’s Misleading Texts: Governor Gordon falsely implied a Trump endorsement in texts, misleading voters ahead of the election.
  3. Alleged Fraud in Complaint: A complaint alleges that individuals used the Republican Party’s insignia in deceptive mailers, falsely implying official endorsements. Legal action is now underway.

These actions reveal the panic of those who see their influence slipping. Their conduct, completely at odds with their professed commitment to civility and integrity, exposes their desperation and hypocrisy. When people act in such stark contrast to their stated principles, they show they cannot be trusted to lead with the values they claim to uphold.

Stay vigilant, and make sure everyone you know gets to the polls. Your vote is the key to ensuring those who engage in these tactics do not succeed.
